Professional

Hi! My name is Dana Goldberg. My dietetics journey began with my undergraduate degree in Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. I then completed my 1200 hours of clinical training at University Hospitals and furthered my education with a Master’s degree in Nutrition. My clinical training provided me with a valuable foundation in nutritional science, but I found myself wanting more. I wanted to spend more time educating clients on the powerful connection between nutrition, lifestyle, and health.

Food Philosophy

The link between nutrition and disease is often pushed to the side and replaced with dozens of pills and prescriptions, but I believe that food and lifestyle are our most powerful forms of medicine. That’s why I use a holistic approach to nutrition.  I get to know you as a whole person, not just asking about the foods you consume, but also about your exercise habits, sleep, stress, and lifestyle. Then, we can work together to design a plan and set goals to help you feel your best. Health shouldn’t be about calories, nutrients, and numbers, the latest fad diet, or the fastest way to lose weight, but rather a sustainable lifestyle that can promote health, prevent disease, and help you feel your best.

Personal

If I’m not trying a new workout class or researching the newest restaurants in town, you can probably find me in the aisles of the grocery store reading every food label to find the newest healthy products to try. I don’t love to cook and don’t spend hours in the kitchen, but I still make healthy eating a priority. When I’m not talking about food, health, or wellness, I’m usually booking my next trip. Car, boat, plane, train- I always love exploring new places and trying the best local cuisine!

I called Cleveland home for five years to study nutrition, but Detroit will always be my real home. I was born and raised in Metro Detroit and love adventuring Downtown to be a part of the revitalization movement and try all the new restaurants.
